Jakhu Temple
Description
Jakhoo Temple is an ancient temple in Shimla, also known as an ancient Hanuman Mandir.
It is located on Jakhoo Hill, Shimla at a height of 8,000 feet above sea level. Shimla's highest peak offers a scenic view of the Shivalik Ranges and the town of Sanjauli.
History
One legend goes that Lord Hanuman stayed there to rest while he was searching for the Sanjivni Booti to recover Lakshmana in the Epic Ramayana.
